Open the unit using the release button on the right-hand side. Clear any jammed paper from inside the unit and then close it. Make sure that there is paper loaded in the receive paper tray. Fan through a stack of up to 50 sheets of plain paper and load it into the receive paper tray. If "Check Paper" does not go away, unplug the unit and then plug it back in.
